pilgrimage sites of India -Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.
These four places are collectively referred as Char Dham of Hinduism. This
tour package will give you a chance to explore two of these Chardham and
understand the Indian religion and philosophy. Also, it will help you to

Day
01 : Delhi To Haridwar/Rishikesh
Arrive at Delhi International Airport / Railway Station and meet our
representative who will assist you. Your tour starts from the very first
day. We will drive to first destination of this tour,
Rishikesh via
Haridwar
and
Har ki Pauri. All places have their own
distinctive spritual value. Lunch will be served during stay in Haridwar /
Har ki Pauri.
Night stay in hotel after reaching Rishikesh.
Day 02 : Haridwar To Joshimath
Morning after breakfast, step out from your hotel and drive with us to
Joshimath/Rudraprayag via Deoprayag. See places, famous for confluence
of two great rivers like
Rudraprayag for
Mandakini and Alakananda rivers,
Karnaprayag
for Alakananda river and Pindar Ganga,
Deoprayag
for Bhagirathi and Alakananda rivers and
Nandaprayag
for Nandakini and Alakananda rivers. Proceed to
Joshimath via Chamoli and Pipalkoti. Late
afternoon, reach Joshimath and take lunch. Joshimath is between
Rishikesh (11 hr) and Badrinath (2 and ½ hr, 44 km). Visit Adi guru
Shankracharya seat famous Narshimha temple or a visit to Auli (famous
winter hill resort for skiing) by lift chair car on extra cost.
Have dinner and night stay at Joshimath/Rudraprayag.
Day 03 : Joshimath To Badrinath
Wake up early in the morning, take breakfast and leave
Joshimath/Rudraprayag for Badrinath. You will reach Badrinath approx up
to 11 a.m. Remaining day is free to visit Badrinath,

Badri Van,
Tapt
Kund and all other popular and famous places around
Badrinath.
Badrinath
Badrinath is one of the four dhams of the country and situated at an
elevation of 3133 mts. above sea level. It is guarded on either side by
the two mountain ranges known as
Nar &
Narayan, with the towering
Neel Kanth
Peak providing a splendid back-drop. This revered spot was once
carpeted with wild berries, which gave it the name
"Badri Van" meaning forest of
berries. Facing the temple at the back of
Alaknanda
river there is a hot water spring known as
Tapt
Kund.
Badrinath Temple
Dedicated to lord Vishnu, the temple of Shri Badrinathji is 15 mts. in
height, built in the form of a cone with a small cupola of a bull and
spire. Legend dates the temple prior to the Vedic age.

Day 04 : Badrinath To Gaurikund
After early morning breakfast, get ready for Darshan at Badrinath. Now
again start a drive to Sonprayag/Gaurikund via Chamoli-Nandprayag and
Gauchar.
Sonprayag
Sonprayag is situated at the confluence of
Soneganga
and
Mandakini river. The road to reach
Trijuginarayan, one more holy and
pilgrimage destination of India, diverts from here.
Trijuginarayan
According to legend, this was the place where the wedding of Lord Shiva
and Parvati was solemnized. In front of the Shiva temple, is an eternal
flame, which is said to be a witness to the marriage. The distance of
Trijuginarayan is 12 km from Sonprayag.
In the evening, you are free to enjoy the surroundings. Overnight stay
at hotel in Sonprayag/Gaurikund.
Day 05 : Gaurikund To Kedarnath

Take early morning breakfast and depart to Gaurikund (14 km trekking).
Take morning bath at hot spring
"Kund"
in
Gaurikund and leave for trek to
Kedarnath temple by dolly-ponny (on extra cost, 14 km). Reach
Kedarnathji in afternoon and take rest at bungalow. Visit Kedarnath ji
temple for Aarti, Darshan in the evening.
Kedarnath Temple
The temple is an imposing sight standing in the middle of a wide
plateau surrounded by snow covered peaks. The present temple built in
18th century A.D. by Adi Shankracharya, stands adjacent to the site of
earlier temple built by the Pandavas. The inner walls of the assembly
hall are decorated with fixtures of various deities and scenes from
mythology. Outside the temple door, a large statue of the Nandi bull
stands as guard.
Dedicated to lord Shiva, the exquisitely architectured,
Kedarnath temple is considered to be more
than 1000 years old. Built of extremely large heavy and evenly cut gray
slabs of stones, it evokes wonder as to how these heavy slabs had been
handled in the earlier days. The temple has a "Garbha Griha"
for worship and mandap appt. for assemblies of pilgrims and visitors. A
conical rock formation inside the temple is worshipped as lord Shiva in
his sadashiva form.
